Building Description:

The Anchor Investments Towers are multi-storey luxury apartment towers located at Westmoorings, Trinidad. The towers are three identical blocks rising 12 stories high. Each tower has 40 apartments and 2 penthouse apartments leading to a total of 120 apartments and 6 penthouses. The towers are supported on 410 mm (diameter) prestressed concrete piles up to 18 m lengths.

The structural system consists of reinforced concrete (r.c) combined shear and load bearing walls supporting insitu r.c slabs.  This is sometimes referred to as a box system. Steel tunnel forms were utilised in their construction. These are the only examples of ‘pure’ shear wall construction of the size in Trinidad.
